Kongs and feeding toys

Popping some Butternut in a Kong or feeding toy is a great way to get fussier pooches more excited about their food. These toys turn mealtimes into a game and help to keep them mentally stimulated. They’re also ideal for keeping your pooch occupied if you need to leave them alone, or if they’re prone to wolfing down their dinner too quickly.

During warmer weather, you can also put the Kong in the fridge or freezer. We recommend putting food into the Kong from a freshly opened pouch and keeping it for up to 2 days in the fridge so that your pooch can enjoy a cool snack.

If you want to prevent any drying out of the meal, just wrap the Kong in a food wrap or put it in an airtight container before popping it in the fridge. If you want to refreeze food in a Kong, partially defrost a pouch in the fridge until it’s just malleable then pop it in the Kong to go back into the freezer until it’s ready to use.

Be sure to always clean and remove any remaining food inside the Kong before you refill.
