Sometimes a dog with a sensitive stomach can be referred to as having IBD, but it's also a formal medical condition that could be diagnosed by a vet.
If your dog simply has sensitive digestion in general, we can definitely help with that. Our chicken and turkey recipes contain less than 5% fat and are extra gentle, so Butternut is likely to be a great option for them.
We're well-suited to dogs who might be allergic to just one type of meat since we use single-source proteins - this means our beef dish only contains beef, and our chicken one just chicken. If your dog doesn't get on with lamb, for example, we can simply make sure they don't receive any.
If your dog has been diagnosed by your vet as suffering with IBD, often daily medication is needed to control the inflammation of the intestine alongside a hydrolysed diet, where the proteins have been broken down into very small molecules meaning they won't cause the gut to flair up during digestion. Since we use high quality, human-grade meat in all our recipes, the proteins are not broken down which means we're not suitable for dogs with a diagnosis of IBD. Your vet might be able to help you with finding a hydrolysed diet if need be.
