The pancreas is the organ that sits close to the stomach and is responsible for releasing the enzymes your dog needs to digest their food. If your dog has been diagnosed with pancreatitis, this means that their pancreas is inflamed - this can lead to serious illness. Recent research has shown that the best meals for dogs diagnosed with chronic pancreatitis contain:
- low levels of fat
- high levels of digestibility
- a moderate amount of protein
- as few additives as possible
Our chicken, turkey and fish dishes all contain less than 5% fat and are really well-suited to dogs suffering from pancreatitis. We're currently cooking for many dogs with the same condition and they're doing really well - we'll make sure your dog only receives our low-fat recipes and ensure they're well looked-after.
