All four of our recipes contain natural sources of Omega-3 fatty acids. These are great for helping joints stay supple and just what dogs suffering with arthritis need in their diet.
We'd recommend our lamb dish in particular - the turmeric we add is a fantastic antioxidant which can help with inflammation.
We look at your dog's age and weight when we calculate how much food they need each day, and we also take into account what sort of shape they're in and how active they are.
If your dog is suffering with arthritis and slowing down a bit, it can be harder for them to remain at a healthy weight. Since our chicken and turkey recipes are low in fat, these meals will help a dog lose weight at a safe rate, or stay within a healthy weight range which won't put any extra pressure on their joints as they get older.
Dogs suffering with arthritis can also benefit from supplements of Glucosamine and Chondroitin and, ideally, a product with Green Lipped Mussel. While we don't add these to our food, you can easily find them to buy and add to your dog's food yourself. We'd always suggest chatting to your vet before giving your dog any dietary supplements that they've not had before.
