How We Ensure the Right Balance of Minerals In Our Meals

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Calcium

As bone meal isn’t considered safe for human consumption, and we only ever use human-quality ingredients in our recipes - we add calcium into our meals in the form of a dietary supplement instead.

Feeding your puppy or adult dog too much or little calcium can both cause problems, which is why it’s so important to feed them a diet containing the correct balance of calcium to other minerals such as phosphorus. The calcium in our meals has been carefully calculated to ensure they grow steadily and remain strong as they get older.

Here's the science bit: All of our meals contain between 0.3-0.45% of calcium and we have a balanced calcium/phosphorous ratio, which means that our meals continue to maintain healthy bones and teeth.

Phosphorus

On average, our meals contain approximately 0.2% phosphorus. Our meats and veg are freshly prepared, so some natural fluctuation is possible.

The calcium: phosphorus ratio of our food is balanced to support your dog from puppy to adulthood.
