Our Lightest Meal – Delicious Duck and Venison for a Tasty Feast, Rich in Flavour Yet Lower in Fat

Updated over 3 weeks ago

Let the Game begin...

Hear ye, hear ye, behold this drool-worthy banquet of venison with duck, and a hint of sweet apple. Naturally rich in flavour but low in fat too, it’s the pearfect meal for a fussier pup. Best served with a goblet of water.

At Butternut, we like to change things up from time to time and keep things fresh. That’s why, we’ve created this recipe with freshly prepared venison, duck, and parsnips, that is all topped off with a sprinkling of juicy blueberries, cranberries and apples. A paw-fect combination of tastes and textures, if you ask us.

We choose to include blueberries and cranberries in our Game meals as they pack a punch of nutrients which offer a variety of health benefits for your dog. In particular, blueberries are packed with antioxidants such as vitamin C and polyphenols, which help to support the immune system. They also contain beneficial vitamins and minerals, such as vitamin B1, B6 and copper, iron, phosphorous, calcium and magnesium, which help with many different processes in the body from bone development to nerve function, to keep everything ticking along nicely. Happy days.

We select only the juiciest, tastiest blueberries for our Butternutters, of course.

Therefore, you may see a bit of blue staining at the surface of your pouches when you defrost them. Not to worry, this is completely normal and is simply the juice bursting out from the insides of the blueberry. D-eeee-licious.
