What is Tastemakers?
Tastemakers is a select group of Butternut Box dogs and their humans who get a sneak peek (and taste!) of what’s cooking in our kitchen.
Members are sent new or in-development products and recipes that haven't been released to the public yet. After your dog tries them, you share your experience with us so we can make our food even better.
Why do we do it?
We love data, but nothing beats real-world feedback. The Tastemakers club allows us to:
Test palatability: See if our new recipes get bowls licked completely clean.
Gather early feedback: Learn how dogs react to new textures, ingredients, and packaging formats.
Iterate and improve: Use your honest reviews to tweak and perfect our products while they are still in the development phase.
How does it work?
If you are selected to join a Tastemakers trial, the process is simple:
Receive your sample: We will ship the experimental product directly to your door.
The taste test: Serve it up to your pup and watch how they react.
Give us your feedback: There will be a button in the email from us that takes you to the survey, or a QR code in the package (or both!)
Influence the menu: Tell us what worked, what didn't, and what your dog loved!
