Foreign Object In Your Pouch/ Box

What to Do If You Think You've Found Something in Your Meal That Shouldn't Be There

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Every pouch of Butternut is made with a lot of love and care. On the very rare occasion you’re not happy with the quality of the meals please follow the below steps.

In the event of finding a foreign object in any of the meals or treats, please reach out to our team by visiting the 'Contact Us’ page on our website.

Reporting Your Concerns:

To Assist Our Team in Investigating and Resolving the Issue, Please Provide the Following Details:

  1. Photos of the object

  2. Photos of the batch number of the packing the object was found in and the cooked-on-date and cook time of the pouch (all these details can be found printed on the centre of the pouch label)

  3. Photos of the packing itself

  4. Description of how big the object is - small (like a 5p coin), medium (like a 10p coin) or large (like a 50p coin or larger)

  5. If possible, please also describe the texture of it - flexible, soft, hard, gritty, etc.

Please keep the object until you hear back from us, just in case we would ask you to send it to us.

We sincerely apologise for this experience, and with the details above, we’ll work to ensure this doesn’t happen again in the future.

When Ingredients Look Different

Please Note: If you have noticed dark spots, or white threads in some of your meals, these may well be the quinoa, blueberries or lentils included in some of our recipes. If you'd like to read more about this, please check out our article here for further advice.
