Need to change your next delivery date? No problem! Here’s everything you need to know to do it yourself — and what to do if you need a hand.
How to Change Your Delivery Date
You can update your upcoming delivery date directly in your account or via the Butternut Box app. Here’s how:
Log in to your account or open the app.
On the homepage, under the title: 'Your Next Box' you should see your upcoming delivery date- Click directly on the delivery date shown in blue.
You’ll now see a calendar or list of available delivery dates, scroll down if you need to and click on the date that suits you best.
Click 'Confirm New Date' to save your changes and you’ll get a confirmation email if it’s successful.
Note: You can only choose from available dates in your area. Not all dates (like tomorrow or weekends) will be available depending on your delivery location and courier.
Can I Change My Delivery After Payment?
If your payment has already gone through, the cut-off for making changes to your box will have already been reached meaning no further changes can be made. If you have a concern with the order that's been placed, get in touch with us as soon as possible and we’ll see what we can do to help.
Why Did My Delivery Date Change Back?
If you changed your delivery date and it reverted, it could be due to:
The date you selected became unavailable before your change was confirmed
The cutoff time for editing had already passed
The steps to save this change have not been fully completed
Always double-check that you received a confirmation email or revisit your Deliveries tab to make sure the new date has stuck.
How Can I Ensure the Update Has Completed as Requested?
IMPORTANT: You will always receive a confirmation email when you change a delivery date.
✔ If you receive an email with the correct date → Your change has been successfully saved.
❌ If you don’t receive an email → The change hasn’t gone through. Try updating it again or contact us for help and don't forget to check your spam folder.
If you're unsure, check your account's Deliveries tab to confirm the update.
Will Changing This Delivery Affect Future Orders?
Yes. When you move your next delivery, all future boxes will automatically adjust to maintain your chosen delivery frequency (e.g., every 28 days).
If you need a one-time change without affecting future deliveries, contact our Customer Love team before making adjustments.
Can I Edit Future Boxes, Other Than the Next One?
No, at the moment, you can only edit your next upcoming box in your account.
