How to have your personal information deleted from your account

As per the UK GDPR rules, customers have a right to erasure. This includes the permanent removal of personal data such as contact details, order history, and payment information from our systems, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.

The Data Deletion Process

When you request account deletion, all personal data associated with your account is permanently removed from Butternut Box’s systems. This includes your contact details, saved preferences, order history, and payment information. The deletion process also extends to the payment processor, ensuring that your payment card details are wiped.

Impact on Deliveries and Notifications

  • Recurring Deliveries: All recurring deliveries are stopped upon your request for account deletion. No future shipments will be scheduled.

  • Notifications: All marketing and service notifications are disabled, ensuring you no longer receive emails or messages from Butternut Box.

Our Customer Love Team can remove your PII (personally identifiable information) from our system. Simply get in touch, requesting we delete your details, and the team will action this.

By requesting this, your data will be wiped from our system. Certain records, such as invoices for completed orders, must be retained for at least 5 years to comply with legal and tax obligations.
