Making Changes to Your Dog’s Portion Size

Setting Up Your Plan to Deliver a Daily Amount That Works Well for You and Your Dog

Updated over 2 months ago

Need to adjust your dog’s meals? Here’s how to check, update, and help tailor their plan to keep things just right.

Where to Update Your Dog's Plan

To edit your dog’s daily food portion or check how their current plan matches their needs, simply head to the ‘My Dog’ section of your account.

Navigating the ‘My Dog’ Page

  • At the top of the page, you'll see your dog’s photo on the left, and their name and profile details on the right.

  • Just below this, you’ll find their daily food amount.

  • To make changes, click ‘Edit’ next to the daily amount.

Adjusting the Daily Amount

Once you’ve clicked ‘Edit’ on the section above, you’ll be taken to the Daily Amount page. From here:

  • Use the plus (+) or minus (–) buttons to adjust how much food your dog receives each day.

  • Below this, you’ll see a calorie breakdown of your selected plan.

  • A blue zone should appear on the line displaying the calorie breakdown. This then shows the recommended daily calorie range based on your dog’s profile.

Please note: the calorie breakdown shown is an estimate based on average calories across all our meals.

  • If you opt for leaner recipes, your dog may need slightly larger portions.

  • If you choose richer recipes, your dog may require smaller portions to stay within the same calorie range.

Every pup is different, so if you're unsure, our Customer Love team is always happy to chat through it with you.

Saving Your Changes

When you're happy with your new portion:

  1. Click ‘Review and Update’.

  2. Check the summary shown on the screen.

  3. Click ‘Confirm’ to save your changes.

Further Advice

What the Blue Zone Means

  • The blue zone acts as a guide to help you hit the sweet spot with your dog’s energy needs.

  • Every dog is unique, so they may do better on the higher or lower end of this range, depending on their metabolism.

  • If you’re unsure whether the plan suits your pup, our team is just a message or call away—we’re here to help!

Heads-up on Delivery Frequency Changes

Changing your dog’s daily portion may affect how often you receive boxes. This is because our deliveries are based on weight and portion size.

For example:

  • If you change from 28 x 600g every 28 days to feeding 800g per day, we may need to switch to sending 28 x 400g every 14 days.

  • This helps ensure your dog still gets the right amount of food, just in smaller, more frequent deliveries.

Managing Multiple Dogs

If you have more than one dog on your plan:

  • You can switch between profiles by selecting their name at the very top of the page in the My Dog section.

  • You may find you are unable to see how the plan reflects against their daily recommendation. If so, please let our Customer Love Team know and we'll be happy to help guide you further.

If You Don’t See the Blue Zone…

If the blue zone (recommended daily calorie range) isn’t visible on your Daily Amount page, it could be because:

  • You have multiple dogs on your plan, or

  • Your dog needs more calories than what’s included in our standard plans.
