Forgetting passwords happens to the best of us! If you need to reset yours, you have two easy options to regain access to your Butternut account.
Option 1: Log in Using Our Magic Link
If you prefer not to update your password right now, you can use our Magic Link feature for quick access:
Go to the Butternut home page and click Log in.
On the login page, select Log in with Magic Link (located below the login button).
Enter the email address linked to your Butternut account and click Send.
Check your email for a message from us containing your Magic Link.
This may take up to 10 minutes to arrive.
If you don't see it in your inbox, please check your spam/junk folder.
Click the link in the email, and you’ll be instantly logged in!
Option 2: Reset Your Password
If you need to set a new password, follow these steps:
If You’re Logged Out
Open the Butternut app or website.
Click Forgot your password? on the login page.
Enter the email address associated with your account and submit the request.
You’ll receive an email with password reset instructions.
This may take up to 10 minutes to arrive.
If you don’t see it, check your spam/junk folder.
If You’re Already Logged In
If you're logged in but want to change your password manually:
Click on the Profile icon in the top right-hand corner of the app or website.
Select Account Details from the menu.
In the Password section, click Edit.
A pop-up will appear. Enter your new password and confirm it by typing it again in the confirmation field.
5. Click Change Password to apply your new password.

Not Receiving Emails? How to Whitelist Butternut Emails
If you're not receiving our emails, they may be getting filtered into spam or blocked. Follow these steps to ensure our emails reach your inbox:
1. Check Your Spam/Junk Folder
Open your email account and navigate to your spam/junk folder.
Look for emails from Butternut and mark them as "Not Spam" if found.
2. Add Butternut to Your Safe Sender List
To ensure future emails land in your inbox, add our email address to your safe sender list, the steps to do so may vary between Gmail, Outlook, Hotmail, Yahoo and so on, so we recommend using their help centre if you can't find how to complete this.
3. Check Your Email Filters
Ensure your email settings aren't automatically deleting or redirecting our emails.
Still Not Receiving Emails?
If you’ve tried whitelisting our email address, checked your spam/junk folder, and adjusted your email filters but still aren’t receiving emails, please reach out to our team.
Sometimes, email addresses can be automatically unsubscribed due to bouncing emails. Let our team know the steps you’ve already tried, and we can take a further look and check if your email has been unsubscribed. If needed, we’ll be happy to re-subscribe you and ensure you start receiving our emails again.
