How to Order a Box Without Resuming the Subscription

Place a One-Time Order Without Restarting Your Subscription Plan

Please note: The advice below is for customers already signed up for our Butternut subscription who may wish to take a break from reoccurring orders for a while and order a box, as and when they need them. You will not be able to order one-off boxes without a subscription set-up.

If you've paused your deliveries but want to treat your pup to a fresh box of delicious meals without resuming your regular subscription, you're in the right place! Whether you want to adjust the number of pouches first or just need a repeat one-off order, follow these simple steps to get everything just right.

How to Adjust the Number of Pouches:

If you want to order more or fewer pouches than your last delivery, follow these steps before placing your one-off order:

Step 1: Adjust Your Plan

  1. From the home page, click "My Dog".

  2. Scroll down to "Daily Portion" and click "Edit".

  3. Adjust the daily serving size using the arrows.

  4. Click "Review Their Plan".

  5. On the plan review page, check that the number of meals is correct.

  6. Click "Confirm Their Plan".

(Don't worry—this won't reactivate your subscription and will return you to the dashboard/ home page.)

Step 2: Place Your One-Off Order

Please follow the steps below to order your one-off box.

How to Order a One-Off Box

  1. Log in to your account and head to your Home page.

  2. Scroll down to ‘Is there anything else we can help with?’

  3. Click ‘Get a One-Off Box’ and we'll fetch your latest plan details to create a box.

  4. You’ll land on the One-Off Box page, where you’ll see:

    • Delivery date

    • Delivery address

    • Recipes

    • Extras

  5. Need to make changes? Tap ‘Edit’ on any section.

  6. Give everything a final check, make sure it’s just right, then hit ‘Complete Order’.

  7. That’s it! Now sit back, relax, and wait for your box of tasty Butternut to arrive. Maybe even do a little happy dance with your pup. 🐶💃

IMPORTANT:

  • Ordering a one-off box will not reactivate your subscription

  • If there's an outstanding payment on your account we won't be able to send a one-off box.

  • Our boxes are packed in multiples of 7. For most pouch sizes, the minimum order is 7 pouches. However, for our smallest-sized pouches (125 or 200g), we require a minimum order of 14 pouches.

  • Any changes must be made before the cut-off time for this box. After this time, our team will be unable to support with making further changes.


Frequently Asked Questions

Can I have a one-off delivery of Butternut Box food without it impacting my other orders?

To order a one-off box of meals, your account must be paused.

If you have an active subscription and would like to make temporary changes to your next box, you can do so by adjusting your plan and then changing it back once your box has arrived. Remember, all changes must be made before the cut-off time for your box.

You can also order a separate box of extras only (this does not include meals), whether you have an active or a paused subscription. This will not change your subscription status. For more information, please see our article on Ordering Extras Separately.

I'm going to run out of meals. Can I order a one-off box?

Our one-off box option is designed for customers with a paused subscription only. If your subscription is still active and you need more food for your dog, you have a few other options:

  • Bring your box forward: You can select an earlier delivery date for your next scheduled box. Please note, this will also bring forward the dates of all future boxes in line with your plan.

  • Update your plan: You can increase the number of pouches per box or choose a larger pouch size to better suit your dog's needs.

Note: In most cases, you can bring your box forward by up to two days from the date you make your changes.
If you urgently need meals sooner, please contact our team. Where possible, we’ll try to arrange delivery for the next day.

Please be aware that this will depend on our packing team’s capacity on that day, as well as your location. Some areas require a two-day delivery window with our couriers.

Can I order fewer pouches without restarting my subscription?

Yes, absolutely! If your account is paused, you can place a one-off order with fewer pouches, and it will not restart your subscription.

Here's how it works:

  • Your one-off order will automatically be based on your current plan.

  • To change the number of pouches, you must first adjust your plan. This will not restart your subscription.

  • Once you've updated the number of pouches, you can proceed to place your one-off order.

A couple of things to keep in mind:

  • Pouches must be ordered in multiples of 7.

  • The minimum order is 14 pouches for our 125g and 200g pouches.

  • For all other pouch sizes, the minimum order is 7.
